The screw batcher belongs to a type of volume batchers for loose products and is used practically always for dispensing of difficult loose — the powdery and raising dust products, for example: torments, starch, xylitol, etc. For easily loose products the batcher you shouldn’t use the screw, except for exceptional cases, on batchers of other types and types the dose of a product will be more precisely and productivity is higher. At the batcher screw even “classical” (with the vertical screw) designs two shortcomings: rather low productivity and the smallest accuracy in comparison with other batchers. If low productivity is connected, first of all, with properties of the dosed products (not without reason the products dosed on it are called difficult loose), then small accuracy is connected in many respects with that coefficient of filling and difficulty of its definition and exact maintenance in the course of work. In the course of packing up apply control determination of mass of a dose of a product (control weighing) to increase in accuracy of dispensing.
The simplest control determination of mass of a dose — when the operator serving the automatic machine periodically weighs packings with a product and at a dose size exit out of limits of the admission readjusts the batcher, changing the speed of the screw, necessary for receiving a dose. In the equipment of horizontal type operation of control weighing “is quite often built in” a production cycle of receiving a container and packing up of a product in it. Container (package, pack and so forth) with a product falls by the platform supplied with the sensors reacting to weight. The container with a dose of a product, the satisfying required accuracy, after weighing goes for further operations, and the container with a mass of a product which is going beyond the admission is rejected: it is pushed out from a pocket of the transporting body of the automatic machine. That the packed-up production had smaller percent marriage, apply double dispensing with control of weight between this dispensing. At first the product in quantity obviously less than the face value (rough or preliminary dispensing) comes to a container from one batcher. The container with a product is weighed. If (that happens extremely seldom) in a container the surplus of a product is found, then such container is rejected. In other cases, by results of weighing the command for a certain speed of the screw of the second batcher installed on other position of movement of a container is given, and the product is filled up to a normal dose (thin, exact or final dispensing). In the good equipment and after addition of a product one more weighing for the purpose of rejection of a container on the mass of a product in it is carried out. It is clear, that separate dispensing with one or two control weighings at increase in accuracy of a dose leads to increase in dimensions of the equipment. It should be noted that double dispensing can lead in certain cases and to decline in production. Apply simultaneous dispensing to increase in productivity in two or (in rare instances) of container unit. But it besides leads to increase in dimensions. An exit is obvious, but is technically exigeant: it is necessary to combine rough and exact dispensing on one the screw batcher. In patent literature such attempts are recorded. But on the equipment, I admit, it wasn’t necessary to see such combined batcher.
